Meet the characters that make up the world of Magic Penguin

Magic Penguin Magic Penguin is the eponymous hero of this website. As his name would suggest he is a penguin with magical powers, albeit very limited magical powers. Indeed for the most part his magical powers are largely irrelevant to the adventures he gets into in the series of quite wonderful stories about him which are available on this very website. In his spare time he enjoys drinking beer and playing pool and can often be found in the local pub, known to all as the Shoe & Phone. If you met Magic Penguin, you'd probably like him.

Fat Giraffe Fat Giraffe is Magic Penguin's best friend. We wouldn want to pigeon-hole him as a side-kick but that's pretty much what he is. Cited by many as their favourite MP character, Fat Giraffe is a straight talking, hard drinking, no-nonsense type of fella and even if he's not the sharpest tool in the box he's probably the nicest giraffe I know.

Upside-down-head Duck Upside-down-head Duck was once a normal duck like any other. Then Evil Penguin decapitated him as the little tyke is prone to do from time to time. Fortunately Magic Penguin was on hand to save the day by magically reattaching the unfortunate duck's head to his body. In a comic twist however the head was attached the wrong way round and now Upside-down-head Duck has an upside-down-head. Hence his name which was given to him after the incident in order to help him adjust to his new life, which he has done admirably. Even if he now talks complete gibberish.

Evil Penguin Evil Penguin is Magic Penguin's psychotic younger cousin. He is capable of the most violent and horrific crimes but he's such a cute little thing that you can't help but forgive him. I mean look at him, how could you ever be angry with an adorable little penguin like that?

Athletic Pig Athletic Pig is pig who dresses in sports clothing a lot. That said there are no recorded incidents of him doing much sport at all so he's probably a bit of a chav. That said he is one of the better players on the Shoe & Phone football team but that's not saying a lot cos the rest of them are rubbish.

Happy Rhino Happy Rhino is one of those people that never really fitted in. Having said that, it's certainly not through lack of effort and he generally doesn't seem to notice the fact that no-one really likes him. But no-one does.

Ed the Ostrich Ed the Ostrich is one of the few Magic Penguin characters who's got a 'real' name instead of an adjective. He's in most of the Magic Penguin stories but he doesn't really ever do much.

Wise Owl Wise Owl is the old bloke who sits in the corner of the pub, day in day out, nursing half a pint of stout. Usually the person Magic Penguin turns to for advice. Not that he's actually all that wise but compared to the other regulars in the Shoe & Phone, he's positively...erm...someone who's quite famous for being clever.
