Magic Penguin began in 1979 as a series of short stories in ‘Fictitious magazine’, a biannual publication that was very popular amongst the banana juice drinking masses in South-East Corridortiton. Unfortunately the unfortunate death of its unfortunate creator Marlon ‘Unfortunate’ Dungleberry due to an unfortunate cake eating accident (ironically the cake in question being ‘Death by Chocolate!’) Magic Penguin disappeared from the public eye for more than 20 years.
Happily copies of the stories survived intact and were found in early 2003 by two blokes in their early twenties who for the sake of anonymity we’ll call James and Andrew. These two plucky souls decided that with a few minor adjustments they could pass the work off as their own. They then decided to steal a few other ideas off some other people and make their own website. Which is this website. And it’s bloomin’ marvellous.
So now you’re here you too can share in the genius that is Magic Penguin. And then you can tell all you friends about it. And they’ll love you for discovering such a great website and making their lives just that little (but significant) bit better.
Why not become a proper part of the Magic Penguin family by utilising one of the many ‘Interactive’ features in Magic Penguin Interactive. Alright it’s just a forum but it’s still pretty cool if you ask me. And if you’re really lonely cos you’re a bit of a loser and no-one really likes you then it’s almost like having a social life.
I only mention the forum cos it’s a new feature and we’re trying to promote it at the moment. Actually the rest of this site is pretty darn cool too. We like to update it from time to time so there might even be some new stuff on here next time you visit. Don’t hold your breath though.
NB. Marlon Dungleberry didn’t really exist. James and Andrew made all this stuff up on their own cos they’re really clever. If you like the stuff on this website, why not write to the BBC and get them to offer us our own TV show? That’d be really great. Channel 4 would be an acceptable alternative too but we’d appreciate it if you left ITV out of this. Cheers.
